National Youth Team Programme 2010
The Ultimate Players’ Association (Singapore) is pleased to announce the National Youth Team Programme 2010!
Objectives:- To assemble a pool of talented young players to represent Singapore.
- To develop players with a view towards forming a full national team in the future.

Payer Eligibility for 2010 National Youth Team ProgrammeA player must be:
1) Born in the year 1990 or later, and
is either
2a) a Singapore Citizen
2b) a Singapore Permanent Resident, or
2c) a Non-Singapore Citizen whom has resided in Singapore for the past 4 years.
Selection Criteria
The coaching panel will select players based on the following:
- Attitude: a positive attitude and spirit towards learning and playing the game.
- Commitment: demonstrates dedication to the programme.
- Skill Level: competency at the game.
- Potential: capacity for improvement and contribution to the team.
Training Squad Size
The management team is looking to select a training squad of:
- 16 to 20 females
- 30 to 34 males
Key Target for 2010:
The management team has identified the 2010 Kuala Lumpur Open (expected to be in May) as the tournament in which the National Youth Team will compete in.
We would also like to select a team to compete in 2010 Manila Spirits (expected to be in November) as well. More details will be released later when the competitions are near.
Please Note:
- The tournament team for both tourneys will be selected from the above mentioned training squad.
- Players should be prepared to self-fund their participation in the tournament.

9th January 2010 – Selection Trials & Training
Interested players are expected to attend all 4 selection trials / training sessions unless there is a valid reason.
16th January 2009 till KL Tournament – Squad will for 3 consecutive Saturdays every month. Players will either return to their club trainings or rest for the last Saturday of the month. Training starts at 2.00 pm on Saturday (additional weekday trainings may be conducted).
19th March – 2nd April 2009 - players involved in the Bali tournament are released for their respective club trainings
